This new build residential development involved the demolition of an existing structure and the construction of a contemporary two-bedroom, single-storey dwelling, complete with a garden studio and rooftop terrace. A high-performance, visually appealing flat roof was required to complement the home’s energy-efficient design and modern aesthetic.
The brief called for a robust and durable flat roof system with excellent waterproofing and thermal efficiency. Additionally, the client requested a skylight to bring natural light into the living space, as well as a rooftop PV system for renewable energy generation. The location and logistics where another challenge to overcome as this project was built into a hillside.
The Bauder Total Roof System, featuring a cut to falls warm roof build-up with reinforced bitumen membranes, was selected for its durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with additional rooftop features. The self-adhered application was ideally suited for installation over a timber deck, offering a flame-free solution for this residential environment.
