Remove failing grp cold roof and install new warm roof build-up including Protan Single Ply Membrane to achieve 20-year warranty.

A Failing GRP cold roof was stripped back to joists and current insulation removed from between the joists, this roof was only 18 months old and had suffered incredibly at the hands of interstitial condensation due to the incorrect installation of a “cold roof”.

We could then start the installation of a warm roof using 18mm structural plywood, vapour control layer, insulation to achieve required U-Values for this property and finally, a Protan Single Ply Membrane mechanically fastened to achieve a 20-year Warranty.

New Fascias and gutters were also installed due to the new height of the flat roof after the warm roof install.

Both building control and more importantly the client is now happy with the Flat Roofs on this property.
